About Me.

I am a high school student from Turkey. Over the years, I have tried many branches of sport and art and found some that I want to continue. I can safely say that sailing is what I would like to do in my later life as I have done it for more than 3 years with such passion I have never felt before. Other than sailing I am interested in photography, painting, coding and contemporary dancing. Of course, they are hobbies for me but I take all of the branches with love and try to merge them in my head to create a better understanding of art.

As for education, I have obtained the IGCSE certificate, taking 7 courses. So far, I am a junior IBDP student

I like taking part in projects in a different range of roles from teaching to designing. I try to find as many projects as I can that match my interests and availability. So far I have taken part

I have taken the exams in the June 2023 group. My results are A* in Turkish as a First Language, A* in International Maths, A* in Physics, A in English as a Second Language, B in Chemistry, B in Biology and D in English Literature.

I am currently in the program. I am taking English B, Mathematics AA and Physics in HL with Turkish A, Economics and Visual Arts in SL. While studying, I am also attending various extra-curricular activities in roles such as sailing racer, website manager, Deputy Captain, Head of PR, School Representative, Coach etc.

Sailing

Licensed Racer and Amateur Instructor

On my sailing journey that started in 2019, I have gotten around a dozen medals from regional races. Apart from being an active racer, I am also a trainer during the summer season. So far I have given training in Optimist, Laser and Yacht classes for both beginner and intermediate sailors.

MUN

Delegate, Organizational and Academic Team Member, Advisor

Since grade 6, I have shown great interest in MUN conferences. As I started high school, the community grew, and I attended around a dozen conferences as a delegate. I have received all awards possible and took part in the organizational team as Head of PR, Press Team member and so on. I have also been an organizational and academic advisor for JNAMUN during the 2023 and 2024 conferences.

Public Relations

Starting from 9. grade, I have always been in PR even when my title had nothing to do with it. So far I have taken a PR role in Team LOTUS FRC, NAMUN'23, English Buddy, 2 student-based magazines and some more. Apart from these activities, I have completed a 3-week internship in BARIKAT CyberSecurity as a part of the Sales Operations and Marketing teams.

Teaching

English Teacher and Sailing Instructor

For the past 2 years, I have been giving free sailing and English lessons for primary and middle school students. With the feedback I received, I can confidently say that I can teach kids easily and have them fall in love with the idea of learning.
